weatherUghh, there are no words for this. Are most people happy with today’s weather? Yep! 83 and sunny is nice, I’ll give you that, but…it reminds me that the oppressive heat and humidity of a central VA summer is on the way. Already I feel more lethargic, tired, bloated, you name it. Give me my 40 and 50-degree temps back!

In addition to feeling cranky from the weather today, I’m also a bit down because of Michigan’s loss last night. I loved watching those boys this year. They are such an inspiring team that plays together like a team, something that is increasingly rare these days in basketball.

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-Michigan vs Syracuse

I grew up playing basketball and played all through high school, college intramurals, and then on various teams in Boston. I stopped playing (both bball and soccer) after I hurt my knee but I love LOVE the sport.

And, as I grew up in Ann Arbor and went to school at UofM, I will forever be a Michigan Wolverine.

Sing to the colors that float in the light;
Hurrah for the Yellow and Blue!
Yellow the stars as they ride through the night
And reel in a rollicking crew;
Yellow the field where ripens the grain
And yellow the moon on the harvest wain;
Hail to the colors that float in the light
Hurrah for the Yellow and Blue!

I need some cheering up! How are you enjoying the weather today where you are?

  1. i feel you on this weather, this past summer in DC was the hottest summer I ever experienced. (MA girl over here who never had hot humid weather like this) I hope to stay cool!

    I’m pretty bummed about the loss too, but they played so well and made it so far this year, so we should be proud of that right? đŸ™‚ We have 17 degrees and a blizzard in Denver today – schools are closed and I am loving the day off. Yes, it was 65 yesterday and will be in the 60’s again by the weekend. Gotta love the Rocky Mountain weather systems!

    Oh no, they lost? My chem teacher is going to be in a terrible mood tomorrow. Darn. I’m the total opposite, I thrive in this weather but I also understand why a lot of people feel more sluggish. Boston has the best summers. I can’t wait to be home.
