Hi there, remember me? Anyone? It’s been weeks since I last posted. I’m not going to lie. Thing have been overwhelmingly busy. I have seriously considered the possibility of stopping my blog. Figured it had been a good year and a half run. But after considering shutting this whole operation down I realized that I can still make time for it and that blogging allows me an outlet to reduce my anxiety. So here I am again and hopefully I haven’t lost everyone who I had considered my “blog friends”. Here are some highlights of what happened over the past few weeks:
I had absolutely the best time with my friends in Vegas for my birthday. We stayed in an amazing 2-bedroom suite at Mandalay and lived like queens for a few nights
We went to so many fun places: TAO, LAVO, 1 Oak, Mix. And even saw a few celebs (Ashley Tinsdale and Sarah Hyland from Modern Family were sitting next to us at TAO and we had the better table! 🙂 )
After a crazy weekend, my sister and I drove to St. George Utah to stay at the Red Mountain Resort, a fitness and spa resort that won the 2012 Traveler’s Choice Award. Our package included three healthy gourmet meals a day (they were soooo good!), free fitness classes, hiking, and use of the spa. It was such a nice bday gift to ourselves 🙂
In between taking fitness classes and hitting up the gym, we did some major hiking. Both in the beautiful Snow Canyon State Park, which is literally right next to the resort, and at the unbelievable Zion National Park.
My sister took me on the famous Angel’s Landing hike, which is really quite dangerous. You climb up two peaks by holding on to some chains. It is literally sheer cliffs on both sides of you. Multiple people have died on this hike. I may or may not have been moaning like a baby, but I did it. I trusted my body and overcame some major fears and was able to make the summit.
Shortly after I returned from our trip, it was time for the bf and I to drive up to Michigan for Thanksgiving. It was great seeing the family
Whew, so that’s a lot of recapping. And that doesn’t even touch on nearly everything that I did over the past 3 weeks. I really am sorry for being MIA, but I’ve decided that I’m not quite done blogging yet so I’m just going to fit it in. I REALLY need to do a Marine Corps Marathon recap post so that’s what’s coming next!
Have you ever considered quitting your blog?
What is one Thanksgiving tradition you have that you love and one you could do without?
wow that scenery just wow. glad to have you back around here!
Sounds like you had a wonderful b-day and Thanksgiving! I am with you on the blog…I have thought about quitting but writing is a creative outlet for me and I love keeping it going. Plus there are so many amazing bloggers out there and it is fun to be a part of this community!
What a fun trip! So glad you got to really celebrate!
I’ve thought about quitting before but I really love being part of the community and interacting with other bloggers. It keeps me coming back!
Glad you’re back! I have been thinking about asking my sister to try out a fitness resort with me…maybe one day!
I’m still here:) I did consider quitting my blog a few times because I thought people thought it was uninteresting, but I like to update and keep my pals up to date.
What a hike!!! That’s insane! My hubby did Half Dome a few years ago and it sounded kind of similar- chains to hold onto going up the climb.
Don’t quit your blog;)
Missed your updates but glad I have been able to follow along somewhat via Instagram. 🙂 sounds like a fun and busy 3 weeks and I totally get why you put the blog on the back burner (you know I’ve done that a couple times lol). Ill read whenever you have time to post. Welcome back pretty girl!
beautiful pictures!
(consider quitting blogging?… i think i did once, but then got back into it making it into more of a photo blog, than a writing blog…)
oh dear…I’m now anonymous!
Ah, I’ve been waiting for an update! Looks like you and your sister had the most amazing birthday! Those views are just unreal!
