Doesn’t it seem like the best nights happen when you least expect–or plan–them? Maybe it has to do with not overly planning things or having too high of expectations. That was certainly true last night in Charlottesville. It started out innocently enough, with some sushi and cocktails with my friend Sarah at Ten. Then we bee-bopped around town for a great Wednesday out.
Next up: the newly revised Positively 4th Street on the downtown mall. This place used to be a wine bar (Enoteca) but now it has a much broader drink menu as well as a full-service lunch and dinner menu.
Unfortunately when we got there I realized that I had left my wallet (under my napkin!) back at Ten so I needed to run back to get it. By the time I returned a cold beer sounded perfect 🙂 After a few drinks we migrated down to the Corner and to one of my favorite bars, the Virgnian. Let’s just say some craziness ensued 🙂
I’m out today to finalize some dissertation committee stuff (boooring, I know) and then to get in my mid-week mid-length training run 🙂
Tomorrow I’m off to Charleston, WV for the weekend so that should be fun. And guess what crazy party people? Only one more day til FRIDAY!
